Born and raised in Joensuu, Oona transitioned from an internship to a coder's role in 2017. The work accidentally captivated her, and she currently finds herself in a holding pattern at the University of applied sciences, waiting for 'that moment' in life when she can resume her pursuit of the final academic credits. Oona is drawn to coding by the constant opportunity for learning and devising novel solutions, expressing her unique creativity. Despite having a somewhat full-stack-like job description, if forced to choose between one or the other, Oona would opt for backend work, artistic traits notwithstanding. She's a rather classic INTJ-T case – turbulence is always on the horizon.
In contrast to her day-to-day data wrangling, Oona spends a lot of time outdoors and during the fall-winter axis, her primary hobby is dog sledding. In addition to her personal involvement in the sport, Oona strives to nurture the local dog sledding scene through group training sessions and activities with the Savo-Karjalan Sled Dog Sports Association. Amid her action-packed free time, Oona also sporadically dabbles in photography and video production related to her passion. Unfortunately, her previous beloved e-sports activities have taken a back seat since the recent addition to her family, but a gamer girl can never truly escape the allure of the WASD keys.
During work hours, Oona's headphones are filled with true crime podcasts, and in her free time, she enjoys music ranging from Nekrogoblikon and Turmion Kätilöt to Pariisin Kevät and Ruusut.
